As part of the GLaSS 2016 program, four entire days were dedicated to an open gamejam. Co-organized by the CRI Paris GameLab and [pop-up] urbain, it was on the themes of urbanity and biodesign -“Biodesign & the City”- and took place from 20th to 23rd june.

The first day was about the creation of game concepts and teams building : keynotes given by the #glass2016 and [pop-up] Urbain teams ; beginning of individual reflection on a game concept ; 1 minute presentations of each (14) game concept to other jammers ; team forming around a dozen favorite concepts.

The second and the third days were the actual production time : determining gameplay ; coding mechanics ; building level design, creating graphics… The different groups managed their time between day and night the way they wanted. It finished with playtests, which was the occasion to get precious feedbacks.

The last day was the game showcase day : after spending the last remaining hours polishing and fixing bugs, it was finally time to present and to play the 11 different games and prototypes. Here are some of them, but they are all visible, and mostly are playable on the itch.io page of the event.
